CARES Program

Comprehensive Approaches to raising Educational standards

Participating Providers and Advisors

The El Dorado County CARES Program utilizes three funding streams totaling $1,236,771 over four years.

The Program invites early care providers to work with an advisor who has been trained and certified as a Professional Growth Advisor by the CA Child Development Training Consortium.  The provider will develop an educational plan with the goal of completing at least three college units per semester.  Once enrolled, providers will be given an educational stipend every six months for successful progress on their plan.  The goal of the educational plan is to assist each provider in obtaining a Child Development Permit from the California Commission for Teacher Credentialing.
